Our 2026 catalogue is out now with a great range of new varieties and plenty of old favourites to choose from. If you are on our mailing list and haven't yet received your catalogue don't worry its coming! There has been a slight delay with the printers, we expect it to be out to you by the end of January. We love to welcome our customers to our little slice of paradise- Kauawhiawhi Farm. Kauawhiawhi is a Te Reo word meaning to hug, or when used in reference to a place, it means cosy\/snug\/comfortable. This is our “happy place” which we open to you, our customers, to view our colourful display garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Us<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Lilyfields Hakatere specialise in growing beautiful lilies. We also sell tulips, peonies and daffodils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Originally called ‘Dunhampton Lilyfields’, the business was first bought to the Mid-Canterbury area by Stuart and Maidie McIntosh who ran it from their Willowby farm near Ashburton. The Keast family were the next owners, moving Lilyfields to the small village of Mt Somers. The Millichamp family followed with David and Wendy taking over from David’s parents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After running ‘Mt Somers Lilyfields’ successfully for 27 years, Wendy and David are now (semi) retiring and Lilyfields has returned to the McIntosh family. Stuart and Maidie’s grandson, Wayne, and his wife Tessa, have taken the reins. The name change to ‘Lilyfields Hakatere’ reflects the move to their small farm near Lake Hood and the Hakatere\/ Ashburton river just outside Ashburton.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
